About The Event
The Shanks are a premier classic rock cover band!
The Shanks have a rich music heritage that dates back many years. Members of the band have been in touring bands and professional troupes. The Shanks have been honored as winners, and as runner-up, of the KFOX 98.5 "Last Band Standing" competition. This competition seeks to identify the best cover bands in the SF Bay area.
The Shanks name was derived from members of the band meeting on a golf course, of all places. In Rock n’ Roll as in golf, things sometimes don’t go as planned, thus prompting the name as a reference to a misdirected golf shot.
The Shanks will be packing the dance floor with songs from Van Halen, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, ZZ Top, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Bad Company, The Pretenders, Queen, Journey, Free, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Grace Potter and Clapton just to name a few.
